JoshUCA It took a bit, but I found an extension that seems to have added an automatic preview if you're copy/pasting media links.

Note that for some reason it didn't automatically "fix" any posts that included media links prior to enabling the extension. For the ones above, I had to go edit them by adding [media][/media] around the link, submitting the update, and then going back in and deleting [media][/media] because it was actually displaying like this (so you don't need to include that tag):
