JoshUCA We’ve got any of the conference tournament championship wins to send us to the NCAAs (in particular the one in 2012 that was both our first one, and was in the Farris Center); a win in 2013 over No. 20 Kansas that went on to be the 14th overall seed in the NCAAs, made the Sweet 16 and finished the year ranked No. 17; and a win in 2014 over an LSU team that made it to the 2nd round of the NCAAs.
I guess just how big this one looks historically will be determined by how the rest of the season plays out. Don’t know if this is the absolute biggest – but it’s definitely among the top few, and it being at home makes it feel like a bigger deal since so many people got to be there to see it live, and there’s celebratory video & photo for everyone to relive it. That Kansas win was at 1:00pm on a Friday in Tucson, Arizona and is mostly lost to history.
Whatever the case, hope it ends up not even being the biggest win of this season.
