I'm excited to see how this team does with almost an entirely new roster and coaches. It may be a struggle, but hopefully it will build a solid foundation for the future.

The ASUN schedule has been released. BEARS TO OPEN ASUN SEASON AT HOME

What all non-conference games do we know about? I've got:

@Little Rock - Dec. 4
vs. U of A (in North Little Rock) - TBD

silerwill BYU is the 5th, I think Utah is the 7th. Got SEMO (Nov. 21) and UNC Asheville (Nov. 24) coming to town for an MTE. At Georgia Tech on Nov. 30. Hogs game in NLR is Dec. 14, then The Citadel in the Farris Center on the 16th as part of the ASUN-SoCon scheduling alliance. And I think there's a trip to Oklahoma in there somewhere but haven't seen a date yet.

    To be expected.

    According to X (Twitter), there was a secret scrimmage between us and UT-Martin and the skyhawks won 73-71. That's a pretty good showing for our young team against a team that finished 21-11 last year!

    Of course they have a new head coach as well, another of Coach Shulman's sons.

    Since football is sucking right now, might as well talk about basketball! I can't wait to see this team and how they play. I think they are going to be fun to watch and if we can get these young guys to stay and build something here that would fantastic!

    Impressive pieces on this young team. Layne is baller, and Fagbemi, Fox, and McCormick have a lot of potential. I think this team really starts gelling for conference play. Love Egbagarus hustle and rebounding, if he could improve on offense he would be a great SF.

    I agree MountainBear! This team is really starting to gel at a great time. I can't wait to see how they do in ASUN play. I just hope we can keep most of them around after the season ends.

    Yes hopefully Schulman keeps building momentum. Does UCA have any sort of NIL? I know NIL is a big deal at the SEC level but who knows at the non-power 5 levels.

    We probably have some, but it is pennies compared to the big schools.

    I think to really compete we need Etim to play well as a true big. Cato is good but he is a more a finesse 4, and not really a rebounder. Etim played well at Oklahoma with 7pts and 8 boards in 24 minutes. Turner progressing will help too.

    Good strong finish today to close out Southwestern Christian. Struggled in the first half, but got aggressive and played well the second and good team win. Anyone know about McCormick? Noticed he had a boot on.

    Shulman mentioned they were sitting him I think until conference. Don’t remember if the exact injury was said.

    Awesome, thanks. Yeah coaches rarely give details anymore. Understandably. The main spot I see news is ucasports.com. Any other sources?

    There are some press conferences after games on their YouTube channel.

    McCormick getting the start tonight!
