They played the Pigs pretty tough on Friday. Hope we can send them home with another loss.

This edition of the team is much more fun to watch. They hustle with energy on both ends of floor and are showing signs of being able to play good defense too! Let’s hope it continues. GB!

Great effort. They have to work on holding a lead and not letting teams come back like that.

Hope Cam Hunter is Ok. Don’t need to lose him right now.

13 out of 16 on the roster are guards. Only 3 forwards and nobody listed as center. Tallest player is 6′9″. Going to be a battle to maintain an inside presence going forward. Average height is around 6′5″. That’s small for a D1 program. Hopefully they can figure it out.

Nobody wants to be listed as “Center” anymore, even guys who traditionally play more as a Center. Last year, we only had 3 Forward listed on the roster in Turner, Etim, and West. This year is Marable, Byrne, and Mason. I don’t think size is an issue, it’s mainly chemistry. Offensive for more cutting and passing, and defensive for better handoffs, callouts, and boxouts. Size doesn’t hurt for sure, but not an Achilles heel this year IMO.

Lost by 18 after being down only 2 at the half. North Texas makes 27 of their 32 FTs, while UCA only makes 18 of their 32. Gotta make those freebies. They are hustling, with 13 Offensive rebounds, and think they get a win soon. Very winnable big non-con game this Sunday. Hope we have a great crowd.

Yeah this team is in disarray…haven’t found an identity yet. Supposed to be a group of good shooters but 3 point % in in the low 20’s. Hopefully they figure something out soon.

One thing I wish we would change is to schedule so many difficult top 50/top 100 non con games for the team. Especially when we’re young. I know we probably need a couple for money, but some more winnable games early would help.

Big home non-con win today! Led by 25+ most of the 2nd half and finished it off. Should be a big boost moving into the rest of the schedule.

Glad they got the big win today. I’m sure it helps the team buckle down on their hard work. I had heard that Bolden left the team as a “mutual decision” after the Arkansas game, and I didn’t see Chris Mason on the bench today. Bolden is off of the roster, but Chris is still on there. Having a team where everyone is pulling the same direction is often more important than talent. Another very winnable game against Eastern Illinois in Conway Tuesday. Go Bears!
