What year is Mcelvain in? I was thinking I read on the old forum that he was done after last year and I thought that was year 6. Maybe I was mistaken.

U-C-A-BEAR He's on Year 7. Redshirted at UNI in 2018, started in 2019, played the spring 2021 COVID season, then only played 4 games in the fall of '21 (maybe got a medical redshirt for that one?), then been here for '22-'24 with his extra COVID year. Barring some wild circumstance (like the guy at Miami in Year 9) this should be it for the ol' chap.

ASU fan here. This should be an annual or at least a semi annual game. I wouldn't mind a few in LR if that were to happen. I always have loved this game since it started up again.

Any suggestions on where in Jonesboro to go eat and watch some games before heading to the stadium?

Wings to go, BWW, Fat City grill all have games on. Fat City is the place if you like nachos. That plate is loaded so you better have an appetite.

treyuca JTowns Grill, Skinny J's and Lost Pizza are good choices that aren't too far from the Stadium

Good to see not much has changed. double digit penalties and obvious play calls. fire ken collums

Certainly not a lot to be excited about offensively. Good thing 27 decided to show up. 1 catch by someone not named ShunDerrick. 88 total yards. He has 85 of them.

Totally pathetic call. Hard to win a game when you have to play the refs too! 🙄

Obviously disagree with the last call but wish we could have clicked on anything in the first half to not have been in the situation. McElvain looked off tonight but hope it doesn't continue. Was impressed with our pass coverage and got some new names on defense standing out. Special teams…. bet they're running a lot in the morning. Honestly, A State didn't look that great and I think we'll have tougher games going forward. Hopefully we'll work out the kinks and throw in some better plays and not give me heart attacks all year.

      On to the next!

UCA deserved to win the game. We didnt play well especially on defense and UCA exploited it. Too many missed tackles everywhere. That RB UCA has is a horse!! We have a lot to work on before hosting Tulsa next Saturday. This game should be played more regularly. Easy trip for UCA fans and the team.

There were some of us who were surprised the call was overturned. I personally thought he never had full control and then the replay showed the nose of the ball hitting the ground. The SBC shares the same replay office with the SEC.

This season started with me scratching my head once again at the offensive play calling and the overall lack of discipline. QB play was not good for a large chunk of the game. O line did not do their job in the first half.

However, we saw the explosiveness of our RB’s. If the pass game gets rolling we will be tough to stop.

The overturned call at the end was bogus. SBC refs trying to protect Butch Jones. There was noting indisputable from the camera angles provided. It did not look like he had full control on the catch even if his foot was down. Also not sure if the ground helped the ball move into his arms. Blown call all around.

bwbear I’m really hoping our backup gets meaningful minutes this year. I’m ready to see him.

It wasn't the refs that overturned the call. It came from the replay center in Birmingham that said it was a touchdown. We share the same replay center with the SEC. They have the capacity to synch up all the views and watch simultaneously.

Grossly disappointed in the outcome of our game against ASU but not the overall effort. The game was taken away from us by a bad end of game call. Yes, we should've done more consistently throughout the first half. But also we shouldn't have to contend with overturned calls to win a game. But hey….on to the next.

Oh, and I'm glad I rediscovered this page. I had wondered where the other one went.
