Charlie76 Don’t disagree with most of this except the last bit. We’re playing other programs in similar situations. UCA has a middle of the road budget, but are still not competitive. I don’t think talent has been an issue (as i watch David Walker sack QBs on Sunday). Nathan can recruit, he can’t manage or scheme. You can’t win at a lower level without being able to out coach the other sideline

Scott_Bevail_1 and Brown can’t budget and build a roster correctly. This is why a GM/DPP is needed. We’re paying Walker White over 85K to be a backup. We also have one of the cheapest rosters this season. He can’t recruit quality guys imo. Just leftovers.

I’ve been doing some research and asking around. There’s a lot of interesting candidates if Brown was to be let go and they were to hire a GM with the new staff. Would be exciting times

Landon Keopple (Texas State OC) from AR-I think this depends on how much he wants it. He would be close to family and I think this makes the most sense. If UCA offers it to him with similar pay to what he makes now, I think he takes it.

Grant Duff (Idaho State DC)-Why?

Darrin Chiaverini (Northeastern State HC)-Not bad, but a risk. Only two seasons at the D2 level.

Chennis Berry (SC State HC)-Interesting Hire, but seems to be in the HBCU pipeline.

Gavin Spurrier (Austin Peay QB Coach)-Why does this make any sense?

Andrew Aurich (Harvard HC)-Looks great, but why would he come?

Tim Horton (Air Force ST Coordinator) From AR-This would be a very interestsing hire for sure. Could be fun.

Scott Power-Not sure this makes sense?

Brad Smiley-I don't see him leaving SAU and UCA taking a chance on him since he is having a down season right now.

Grant Duff (Idaho State DC)-Why?

For Duff, from what I’ve heard, he’s another players coach and has done a solid job with what he’s been given in the conference their in.

Gavin Spurrier (Austin Peay QB Coach)-

Spurrier obviously the son of Steve Spurrier but is a bright upcoming mind who’s helped develop their current starting quarterback for the past two seasons. Would be a risk for sure.

Andrew Aurich (Harvard HC)- He’s a doubtful one but not sure if there’s long term upside in the Ivy for football.

Scott Power- Definitely not a top pick, a name I’ve been seeing being monitored.

On the GM side of things, I’ve been watching Lehigh and Tennessee Tech today and their roster construction over the years have been impressive and it’s showing today (despite Lehighs defense). Would really be interested in Colton Edwards or Josh Rooney.

HC wise, obviously Keopple but really liking the potential of Tyrone Nix, Darrin Chiaverini and Tim Horton.
