jdp1205 I’m not following on the 8-man football comment. Are we talking about the walk-on who was at the bottom of the depth chart last year? I heard he was a super nice kid, but if the argument is that he wasn’t given a fair chance… I don’t know what to say to that.
Yes, Ken Colums got a bad rap. I was probably too judgmental myself.
As for last year’s QB “not running” Got a chance to talk to a WR’s dad after the season. He had major surgery on his foot immediately after the season. He wasn’t supposed to be on the field in the first place. Calling it “wouldn’t run” is way off base. Maybe we can get Chambliss to transfer in and everyone will be happy.

U-C-A-BEAR I’m not talking about anyone from last year I’M definitely not talking about any of the guys and the point I was trying to make is perspective may make you feel like someone is better than they are. The kid from last year may have been or still be a great player I don’t know. What I do know is we have a QB issue and it’s been more than a year. The kid this year looks like a great athlete and it may just be the system. That’s the issue with us fan coaches we can’t really evaluate but the results on the field say we are somewhat correct.

I would say that money may be the biggest issue. Other schools in our conference are spending way more on facilities and players. Go to a few road games the gap is big and that has not always been the case. If we are going cheap on assistants and players it’s hard to be a great head coach. Nathan is probably the best guy for the job with the right financial support.

jdp1205 all I’m saying is we’ve had some very decorated Qb’s the last couple of years. Omolo came out of D2 as the offensive player of the year for his conference. He did very well at Conway. Meyers came out of high school in the top 10 in completion history in Arkansas high school football history. Kaleb Koger had a 5A Texas state title under his belt. Qb’s make mistakes it is a part of the game. I just think pointing fingers there every game is off. We were 14 points away last year from making the playoffs. We had some really bad play calls with the games on the line. Go watch west Georgia last year. Our D gave up 2 hail Mary’s with the game on the line and us still in the playoff hunt. I don’t personally know the coach walker you talk about. I do know coach Brown called the plays last year.
