Great season! Hopefully they can build on this for their first year in the UAC. It seemed like their pitching depth hurt them. A couple of great pitchers with Alexander and Hamilton; but the second games of series we often would give up a lot of runs. Congrats to the Bear though. A lot of be happy about.

What can they offer at UALR that we can’t?

I think a ton has to do with Chris Curry as a head coach. He’s from Arkansas, but it wouldn’t surprise me if a bigger school goes after him. He may enjoy things here, though.

Then again, he struggled in the Sun Belt. Maybe it’s just been lightning in a bottle as of lately.

Well on a good note …pig fans are losing their mind (not that they ever had one). They have resorted to trashing Kansas, their stadium and their fans. Maybe they should look at themselves first. Time for Dave to go. He can’t win when it matters.

Charlie76 Everything I’m seeing isn’t trashing Kansas at this point (before the games were played, yes), but it’s trashing assistant coaches or Hunter Yur. at this point. Most Arkansas fans have had some issue with the athletic adminstration for a bit.

Baseball is weird, in the randomness of it sometimes. For UCA you probably have to win the conference tourney to go to the tournament, and some of that is getting “hot” at the right time. I think not having the deepest bullpen hurt us this year. Great starter and closer, but not as many rotation guys.

Zeb Allen is going to the transfer portal only to improve his position in the baseball draft. He will sign a professional contract when the draft gets here. He just completed his junior year which makes him draft eligible and he will not be playing college baseball next year, he eill be playing in the minor leagues somewhere. He is arguably one of the best players to ever wear a bear uniform. He hit over .300 with 17 home runs and almost 60 RBI. I don’t think anyone has come close to his power figures this year. By going to the draft portal professional teams will have to offer him more money so a team like Arkansas does not pick him up out of the portal. A really good move on Zeb’s part and I bet that Coach Harlan had his hand in the move also.No way will he be playing college baseball next year. GOOD LUCK ZEB AND THANKS FOR BEING A BEAR !

Charlie Christenson. Yes it worked out for him and it will work out for Zeb because he is a lot more talented. I’m sure the pro scouts have all the information they need on Zeb, he’s a good fielder and a great hitter and he will definately be drafted. Hope he makes a lot of money because he truly deserves it. Was a real pleasure watching him in a Bear uniform. GO ZEB AND GO BEARS !

Since he is a draft eligible junior I still think he will be playing pro ball next year and not college ball. The only way I see him playing his senior year in college would be that he has no interest in playing pro ball and decides to play his final year in college and then hang em up for good. I guess he could be starting his work career after next year but I have no idea what his college major is. The hogs could have been better this year if theyb had recruited Bryce Cermenelli out of the portal. He hit .380 for the Bears last year and about .360 for Mo. State this year and yes he could hit SEC pitching. In 3 games against the Hogs yhis year he was 9-12 with 2 doubles, 1 home run and 3 rbi’s and yes that was SEC pitching but for from the average SEC pitching staff. I’m good if Zeb wants to be a one year hog but I still think that he will be playing somwhere in the mior leagues next year. THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES ZEB !

Great Bear career for Zeb. We get football back on track and our athletics is pretty strong across the board.

Eaiser said than done. We have the portal players we need, I hope that Coach Brown can get us back to where we want to be this year and if he can’t there are coaches out there that can. Either way we should he competitve in football almost every year. GO BEARS LET’S GET THIS THING BACK ON THE WINNING EDGE !
