UCA at UWG

UCA comes off a bye week to face West Georgia in Carrollton. The Wolves were routed on the road at Tarleton St last week 45-10, marking their 3rd straight loss to fall to 5-3(2-3 UAC) after a 5-0 start.

Offensively their strength has been their rushing attack from RBs Murrell and Lester and QB Wydner. Wydner hasn’t been a very prolific passer.

With Myers and Chambers and the UCA offense clicking and one of the Bears strengths this year has been their Dline, so I feel good about UCA being able to get another road win to go to 3-1 in conference and 2nd place in the UAC.

I really feel good about the direction this team is headed. We started off rough, but have figured some things out with Myers at the helm. I feel that we are going to continue to improve in this game and come out with a big W! GO BEARS!

West Georgia has a lot to think about this week. Myers is getting it done through the air and when they cover that the run is open. One thing is for certain folks won’t sleep on us anymore. I saw North Alabama bounced back with a big win against eastern Kentucky.

If there aren’t any new injuries and those that were lingering aren’t a problem any longer after this bye week, I feel more than good about our chances of beating West Georgia. Everything is coming along as most of some of us hoped and knew it would. I’ve watched a couple quarters of West Georgia football this season and there isn’t anything really special about them. They played their easier games to start the year so them starting 5-0 was deceiving, especially in comparison to our first 5 games being tougher x4 competition (minus UAPB). It’s their homecoming so I expect a good showing but I think we still win by two scores.
