Well it looks like we landed what might be our second highest rated recruit ever (behind 4 or 5 STAR Trejan Bridges). Marcus Scott II by way of decommit from LSU then signed with Missouri. Then ended up at Cal after an injury that landed him a medical redshirt while at Missouri.

So clue me in on what I’m missing. I read the article and saw no mention of UCA…did I look over it or what?

Charlie76 You didn’t overlook it. It didn’t mention UCA as that article was about I think when he transferred to Cal. I included it because it mentioned his journey and 4⭐ status. Here’s the link from 24/7 showing him with us now.

So, would we say he is a true 4-star still? Or like an updated 3-star? No disrespect to him at all, I’m excited he’s coming to UCA. He was an awesome player it appears at Idaho, then try to step up to Cal. If he plays as good as he did at Idaho, this should be a nice pickup for the Bears defense.

Mulerider It depends on how we define “true” 4⭐. Per the 1st article I attached he was rated a 4⭐ at some point. And for clarity, he never went to Idaho. I’m just seeing Missouri and Cal. Unless he did a juco semester or year in Idaho. From the first article I attached 👇🏿

So basically he may, or may not, have played at 1 or more than 1 school(s) and he may or may not have been any good at 1 or more of them. Correct?

UCABEARS75 Sounds like a correct assessment to me. I can’t find stats like he played much or anything at Missouri or Cal. But but but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have what it takes to show his 4⭐ talent despite coming off injuries. I guess we’ll all see which version shows up. Of course we’d want the closest to 4⭐ skill set and talent as possible.

So it says he is a 2025 transfer immediately eligible to play…so is he with the team? Not listed on the roster. So he may or may not exist. Is he AI generated?
