Women’s soccer Head Coach Jeremy Bishop is leaving the program to take the vacant Assistant AD Media Relations job. Long time assistant coach Derek Nicholas promoted to head coach.

I personally know nothing about Coach Bishop, but does he have any kind of formal training in media relations? This just seems like an odd hire to me.

Charlie76 I mean if he doesn’t have the degree or experience in media relations he could absolutely be worse. I’m hoping that’s not the case. We definitely need to get more exposure statewide and at least regionally. Fingers crossed.

Looking at the current football coaching positions, it appears Ken Collums may be gone gone. He’s not listed as the assistant HC or TE coach as he was suppose to transition to this year. Instead, it shows Coach Hollingsworth filling both of those roles now. Anyone know more than I?

EDIT: It’d showing Coach Hollingsworth as just TE coach.

Gready From today’s writeup: “Coach Brown is taking over play calling duties this season, with the departure of offensive coordinator Ken Collums, and says he is excited about the added intensity with the new responsibilities.”

I guess he decided to leave after all.

I have no inside knowledge but naturally I don’t think it’s a good feeling to get demoted. He for sure was demoted out of his OC position.
