Interesting read about Austin Reaves high school days trying to get recruited. Averages 32/8/5 his senior year, and had an offer from Coach Pennell, but the offer got pulled.

Ended up getting an offer from Wichita State, then a preferred walk on offer from Arkansas. Apparently Pennell’s staff pulled the offer as he “wasn’t good enough”. Hind sight is obviously 20/20 but certainly interning given his NBA success.
I’m glad the Coach Schulman with Coach Widders puts a priority on local Arkansas talent, with out of state gets too. Obviously the approach is working.
