Former UCA All-American running back ShunDerrick Powell hosted a youth football camp (HEART OVER HEIGHT) yesterday in Jonesboro. As he’s now with the Kansas City Chiefs, it was a pleasure to see him give back to his Jonesboro community and surrounding area. Those in attendance got a real treat in hearing and learning from one of best to ever represent UCA on the football field. As an invited guest speaker, I enjoyed being able to provide an additional message (as a former player and UCA graduate) of building confidence and discipline to overcome obstacles. I love seeing former players giving back.
